Initiative 1000 would let patients get help ending their lives
Rheba de Tornyay, a former nursing-school dean, says she came to believe that I-1000 is too risky and wouldn't have been necessary during her husband's long terminal illness. "It was a beautiful time," she says of his last months. "I'm really grateful he was able to live out his life."
