Initiative 1000 would let patients get help ending their lives
Jack Leversee, a retired doctor who supports I-1000, recalls a leukemia patient who said, "I just want out." At home, the patient said goodbye to family and friends before pain medication stopped his breathing. "That's what I want for myself," Leversee says.
