Slides putting our highways in danger
Mudslides from a clear-cut hillside spill across Highway 6 near Pe Ell, Lewis County, after heavy rains in December. Before the logging, a state forester visited the site to check for unstable slopes but determined there was no need to bring in a geologist for further study.
