World War II B-17 bomber holds a fortress of memories

Sam Bass, of Atlanta, pilot of the Aluminum Overcast, flies the B-17 bomber over the Seattle area Monday. Though the B-17 was known as the "Flying Fortress," WWII navigator Bob Culp says, "When you realize you're protected by a very thin skin of aluminum, you realize you're not really in a fortress."
