Racing outriggers take a cultural revival along for the ride

Sail Sand Point's six-person, 400-pound canoe with Ernie Wong in the bow digs into the wake from the race rescue boat in Tacoma's Commencement Bay. The 5.3-mile race was hosted by the club in Federal Way.
