A wreath on the east side of the Aurora Bridge honors victims killed when a passenger with a gun shot the driver sending the bus crashing onto the roof of an apartment house below. A nearby plaque says, " In honor of Mark McLaughlin, King County Bus Driver No. 2106 who was killed in the line of duty November 27, 1998. Thirty-two people were saved by his final heroic effort."
