Trailing An Apocalypse
As Earth warmed and brought the last Ice Age to an end, glacial lakes burst through vast ice plugs and sent mountains of water, silt and debris surging across the Pacific Northwest, reshaping everything in the floods' path. A giant boulder left from one of those floods still sits along Highway 172 near the town of Mansfield, not too many miles from Steamboat Rock.
