Gates Foundation tackles a giant that preys on Africa's children

The enemy eyes a treatment | Anopheles mosquitoes, which transmit malaria, rest on an IV container in the children's ward at Morogoro Regional Hospital in Tanzania. Only female mosquitoes feed on blood, to get the nutrition necessary for egg development.
