Eco-makeovers | Older homes made energy efficient

Pamela Burton and Jeremy Smithson's home-energy use dropped 86 percent after they increased their insulation, replaced windows and added a solar hot-water system and solar panels. Their Craftsman bungalow in Seattle now produces 6,200 kilowatt hours of electricity a year.
