Tom Posey does not mind getting his hands dirty pulling weeds after getting off work as a truck dispatcher for a concrete company. Posey says volunteering at Persephone Farm in Indianola, where he is also a customer, is a great relief after his stressful day. Many small farms depend on both volunteers and apprentices to help make them economically viable.
