The Bounty Around Us
Every year, customers and neighbors of Persephone Farm in Indianola help harvest and clean garlic, assisting with the labor of the farm as well as getting really close to their food source. Clara Jewell, 4, helps clean the outer skin of the garlic before it is stored in the barn until it is sold at the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market or through the farm's Community Supported Agriculture program.
