Lab buried under ski slope would tackle cosmic puzzles

Cowboy Mountain, at Stevens Pass, is competing to be the location of an underground lab to study elusive subatomic particles called neutrinos. A UW-led team will soon find out if the site is any match for a South Dakota town that holds an annual "Neutrino Day."
