The Seahawks' 12th Man flag flies from the Space Needle after being raised by renowned Seattle mountain climber Ed Viesturs. The football team, which fields 11 players at a time, reserves the number 12 for the fans — the 12th player. The flag will fly as long as the Seahawks win their playoff games. Fans hope it will be up through the Super Bowl on Feb. 5.
