Sen. McCain denounces earmark process

On July 21, 2001, Sen. John McCain railed on the Senate floor against earmarks in the transportation bill, in particular noting money Sen. Patty Murray set aside to make the U.S. Coast Guard buy a boat from an Edmonds shipbuilder.
