Jaume Plensa’s “Echo,” a 46-foot resin-and-stone-dust head, will rise at the Olympic Sculpture Park next spring, Seattle Art Museum announced Thursday. The sculpture depicts the serene face of a 9-year-old girl, who was a fixture in the sculptor’s neighborhood. (More of the Catalan artist’s work here.) The artwork is a gift from SAM trustee and art collector extraordinaire Barney Ebsworth.

“Echo” once lived in Madison Square Park in NYC; here’s a fun video of its installation.
