A clean view from the 73rd floor

KEN LAMBERT / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Debbie Stewart, with Able Cleaning Service, clears up the view from Columbia Center's Sky View Observatory (SVO) in Seattle on Wednesday. Stewart says she has to work on the SVO windows four to five times a day because of visitors' finger and nose prints on the glass. Meanwhile, the SVO, on the 73rd floor, 900 feet above the city, has had its own touch-up, with a major redesign that expands views and offers new floor-to-ceiling informational displays. The SVO is now open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Admission is free for children under 5; $9 for seniors, military and children 5-12; and $12.50 for adults.
